The day after Superbowl

It’s the day after the Superbowl and there’s lots of chatter. I was hoping Seattle would capitalize on their end zone position but, in the end, they called a “controversial” pass play and blew it. Don’t misunderstand: I am a sporadic football fan (Da Bears). I was watching the superbowl for the commercials and was completely underwhelmed. I also felt really OLD. My husband and I were commenting on the strange ways advertising is trying to reach their younger markets. I don’t think it shows respect for the “younger market” – but that’s my opinion. I did like the JEEP ad and I liked the ad from Carnival.
It’s the first time Carnival has entered the Superbowl hoo-hah and I thought they did an excellent job of messaging and branding. They were successful in showing their all-encompassing brand is more than just a “carnival” ship. See the ad here on the World’s Leading Cruise Lines website.
Carnival Corporation is really the mother of all ships: It covers Carnival Cruise Line, Costa Cruises, P&O Australia, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, AIDA, Cunard and Seabourn.
